Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the lettering upright and ensure both flags lie flat without crossing seams.
3. Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
4. Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Work across the large design as directed for the backing, ensuring even coverage of the flag tips and name panel without sliding the iron.
5. Allow it to cool completely before gently checking the full perimeter. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required. Stitching around the border can reinforce this large patch.

Sew-On Option

Secure the patch flat and stitch around its contoured border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Follow the flag tips carefully, keep the fabric smooth and avoid pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
