This Vespa shield embroidered patch combines black Vespa script with an orange-and-black cartoon wasp on a white background. Green, white and red panels run across the top, while an orange stitched border follows the shield. The wasp has pale wings, a pink eye accent and a raised middle-finger gesture.
Measuring 80 × 86 mm, the badge adds a cheeky scooter-inspired detail to a suitable jacket, vest, backpack or fabric bag. Its shield shape brings together the Italian tricolour header and contrasting character motif.
- Design: Vespa script and cartoon wasp beneath an Italian tricolour header
- Patch color: White, orange, black, green, red & pink
- Size: 80 × 86 mm
- Shape: Shield
- Details: Orange border and embroidered dots, pale wings, striped wasp body and rude hand gesture
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if heat-activated adhesive backing is present and the garment permits ironing
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat application. Avoid leather, coated and heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits ironing.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the script upright and smooth the fabric underneath.
- Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
- Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Cover the whole shield and its lower point without sliding the iron.
- Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce with stitching where suitable.
Sew-On Option
Secure the badge in position and stitch around its shield border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Keep the fabric flat, follow the curved top and lower point and avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing and avoid scrubbing the embroidery. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. The flag motif describes the design, not manufacturing origin. The orange dots are embroidered details, not metal rivets. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the manufacturer before modifying technical riding clothing.
