Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the character upright and smooth the fabric underneath.
3. Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and use the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
4. Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Cover the whole design, including wings, antennae and bat, without sliding the iron.
5. Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce with stitching where suitable.

Sew-On Option

Secure the patch flat and stitch around its contoured border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Follow the projecting wings, antennae and bat carefully. Avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
