Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the oval with the lettering upright and smooth the fabric underneath.
3. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and use the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
4. Apply the time and pressure specified in the backing instructions. Treat the centre and complete oval border without sliding the iron.
5. Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce edges with stitching where suitable.

Sew-On Option

Secure the patch in position and stitch around the oval outer border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
