Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits it.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm heat-resistant surface. Check that the entire patch fits the chosen area without crossing unsuitable seams, fasteners or pockets. Align the lettering and smooth the fabric.
3. Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Turn off steam and use only the temperature permitted by both the garment and backing instructions.
4. Follow the backing's specified pressing time, temperature and pressure. Work across the large wing and lettering area as directed, ensuring the centre, feather tips and outer edges receive the instructed application. Do not slide the iron.
5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions for additional pressing if needed. Reinforce with stitching where suitable, particularly around the feather tips and long edges.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Secure the patch in position and stitch around the outer border, following the wing tips and lettering base.
