Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment label and backing instructions. Use heat only if both permit it. Do not iron leather or heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits it.
2. Lay the fabric flat on a firm heat-resistant surface and align the lettering upright.
3. Cover with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and use only the temperature permitted by the garment and backing instructions.
4. Apply firm pressure without sliding, following the backing's specified pressing time and temperature across the centre and edges.
5. Let cool completely before checking attachment. Follow backing instructions for further pressing or reinforce with stitching.

Sew-On Option

Use suitable needle and thread to stitch around the border, following the lettering contours. Keep fabric flat and avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
