Build your patch layout around a bold mechanical centrepiece with this large Harley-Davidson wings and engine embroidered back patch. Long grey feather lines sweep upward from a detailed V-twin engine motif, contrasting with the black background and contoured outer edging.

Arched Harley-Davidson lettering spans the centre above the engine. A curved Motorcycles banner crosses the lower section, flanked by Est. and 1903 ribbon details. The 220 × 250 mm design creates a prominent focal point on a suitable jacket or vest with enough flat space for the raised wings.

  • Design: Raised feathered wings with V-twin engine and Harley-Davidson lettering
  • Patch color: Black & grey
  • Size: 220 × 250 mm
  • Format: Big patch / back patch
  • Details: Arched brand lettering, mechanical engine embroidery and curved Motorcycles banner
  • Visible text: Harley-Davidson, Motorcycles, Est. and 1903
  • Shape: Tall contoured winged silhouette with open upper centre
  • Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Use this method only with an iron-on adhesive backing and heat-compatible fabric. Avoid coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer expressly permits ironing.
  2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the engine upright, check the full 220 × 250 mm placement and smooth both wings flat.
  3. Cover the entire design with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both garment and backing instructions.
  4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature. Work across the large design as directed, covering the engine, lettering and wing tips without exceeding garment heat limits.
  5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the outer edges and upper inner contours. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitches.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment and stitch around the contoured black border. Secure the long wing tips carefully and keep the fabric flat around the engine and lower ribbons. Avoid sewing through unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce an adhesive attachment where appropriate.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the wing tips from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
