Add a clean monochrome accent to your patch layout with this Harley-Davidson script embroidered name strip. White slanted lettering stretches across a black rectangular background, with sweeping letter strokes and a black outer border framing the wordmark.
At 145 × 28 mm, the long, narrow format offers a distinct option for a suitable jacket, vest or fabric bag. Position it above a larger motif or use it alone for a straightforward motorcycle-inspired detail.
- Design: Harley-Davidson name in slanted script lettering
- Patch color: Black & white
- Size: 145 × 28 mm
- Details: White embroidered wordmark with extended letter strokes on a black background
- Shape: Long horizontal rectangle
- Border: Black outer edging
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Use this method only with an iron-on adhesive backing and heat-compatible fabric. Avoid coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer expressly permits ironing.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Align the name strip horizontally and smooth the narrow rectangle flat.
- Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both garment and backing instructions.
- Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, covering the full length and both ends without exceeding garment heat limits.
- Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitches.
Sew-On Option
Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment and stitch around the black rectangular border. Secure all four corners while keeping the fabric flat. Avoid sewing through unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce an adhesive attachment where appropriate.
Care
Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the corners from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
