Add a racing-inspired detail to your patch arrangement with this Harley-Davidson HD embroidered badge. Bold black HD letters sit over crossed orange-and-black chequered flags, with pale outlines separating the lettering, flag edges and poles.
Measuring 140 × 70 mm, the wide contoured design makes a distinctive accent on a suitable jacket, vest or fabric bag. Extended letter strokes and the angled flags create a dynamic horizontal silhouette.
- Design: HD monogram over crossed chequered racing flags
- Patch color: Orange, black & white
- Size: 140 × 70 mm
- Details: Orange-black checks, black HD lettering and pale embroidered outlines
- Shape: Contoured crossed-flags badge with black outer edging
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if an iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the HD lettering upright and smooth the fabric beneath the entire badge.
- Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
- Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, treating the centre, flag corners and pole ends as instructed.
- Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.
Sew-On Option
Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch around the black outer border, carefully following the flag corners and projecting pole ends. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the projecting edges from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
