Add a mechanical-inspired detail to your patch arrangement with this Harley-Davidson embroidered gear badge. A central Motor Harley-Davidson Cycles shield sits inside a circular ring, framed by a toothed gear-style outline. Red contours contrast with the black background, while pale grey lettering and edging define the design.

Measuring 95 mm in diameter, this compact badge makes a distinctive accent on a suitable jacket, vest or fabric bag. Curved Harley-Davidson and Motor Cycles lettering completes the outer ring.

  • Design: Central Harley-Davidson shield within a toothed gear-style circle
  • Patch color: Red, black & light grey
  • Size: 95 mm diameter
  • Details: Red shield and ring contours, pale grey lettering and toothed outer edging
  • Lettering: Motor Harley-Davidson Cycles, with additional curved lettering around the outer ring
  • Shape: Round gear-style badge with notched edging
  • Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if an iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
  2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the shield upright and smooth the fabric beneath the entire patch.
  3. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
  4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, treating the centre and notched circular edges as instructed.
  5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch carefully around the outer border, following the gear-style notches while keeping the fabric flat. Avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the toothed edges from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
