Add a wide mechanical accent to your patch arrangement with this Harley-Davidson embroidered badge. A grey toothed ring frames a black centre, with Harley lettering above, Davidson below and a Motorcycles bar across the middle. Pale flame contours extend to both sides.

Measuring 170 × 74 mm, the horizontally stretched design makes a distinctive feature on a suitable jacket, vest or fabric bag. Its black background and grey embroidery create a monochrome look that pairs easily with other motorcycle-themed patches. The gear and flames are decorative embroidered motifs, not metal hardware.

  • Design: Toothed gear ring with horizontal side flames
  • Patch color: Black, grey & light grey
  • Size: 170 × 74 mm
  • Lettering: Harley, Motorcycles and Davidson
  • Details: Grey gear teeth, central lettering bar and pale flame outlines
  • Shape: Wide contoured badge with extended flame ends
  • Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if an iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
  2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Align the central lettering upright and smooth the fabric beneath the complete badge, including both flame ends.
  3. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
  4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, covering the central gear and both flame sections as instructed.
  5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch around the black outer border, carefully following the flame contours and curved central section. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the flame ends from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
