Create a statement centrepiece for your next motorcycle-themed project with this Harley-Davidson big back patch. Ornate light grey Harley Davidson lettering is edged in orange against a black background. A curved scroll beneath the name carries black Motorcycles lettering, while decorative flourishes extend above and below the main script.
The shaped black outline follows the sweeping letters, banner and pointed ornamental details. Plan your placement on a suitable jacket or vest back to give the full design room to stand out, or add it to a large embroidered patch display.
- Design: Harley Davidson ornate script with Motorcycles scroll banner
- Patch color: Black, light grey & orange
- Size: 237 × 255 mm
- Style: Big embroidered motorcycle and biker back patch
- Details: Orange-edged lettering, curved banner and decorative upper and lower flourishes
- Shape: Contoured silhouette with extended ornamental tips
- Border: Black outer edging
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Use this method only with an iron-on adhesive backing and heat-compatible fabric. Avoid coated or heat-sensitive materials.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Centre the design and check that the lettering, scroll and extended upper and lower flourishes lie flat.
- Cover the entire design with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and choose a temperature permitted by both garment and backing instructions.
- Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified temperature and pressing time, working across the full area as directed and covering the shaped tips without exceeding garment heat limits.
- Let everything cool completely before gently checking the perimeter. Follow backing instructions for any repeat pressing, or reinforce the contoured edges with stitches.
Sew-On Option
Use a needle and thread suitable for your garment and stitch around the black outer contour. Secure the narrow ornamental tips and banner ends carefully, avoiding unwanted pocket or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce an adhesive attachment where appropriate.
Care
Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect projecting flourishes from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the design. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Check manufacturer guidance before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
