Create a wide winged centrepiece for your patch arrangement with this Goldwing GL1800 embroidered big patch. Long yellow wings stretch out from a central shield, with black outlines defining the layered feather sections.

Measuring 297 × 62 mm, this broad horizontal design features GL, Goldwing and 1800 lettering within the central emblem. Position it across a suitable jacket back, vest or fabric bag, allowing enough flat fabric to support the full wing span.

  • Design: Extended wings with central GL Goldwing 1800 shield
  • Patch color: Yellow & black
  • Size: 297 × 62 mm
  • Details: Yellow embroidered wing sections with black feather outlines and contrasting shield lettering
  • Shape: Wide contoured wings with shield-shaped centre
  • Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if an iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
  2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the shield lettering upright and smooth the fabric beneath the centre and full wing span.
  3. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
  4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature. Work across this wide badge in sections as instructed, covering the centre, wing tips and all edges.
  5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch around the outer border, carefully following the long wing tips, feather contours and central shield. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment on this wide patch.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the wing tips from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
