Add a striking winged emblem to your patch arrangement with this Goldwing GL embroidered eagle badge. Cream feather sections and red wing panels spread out from a central shield carrying bold black GL lettering. Black outlines define the eagle, shield and lower feather details.
Measuring 90 × 65 mm, this contoured badge combines a broad wing span with a compact central emblem. Position it on a suitable jacket, vest, backpack or fabric bag for a distinctive cream, red and black accent.
- Design: Spread-wing eagle with central GL shield
- Patch color: Cream, red & black
- Size: 90 × 65 mm
- Details: Cream embroidered eagle, red wing panels, black outlines and GL lettering
- Shape: Contoured eagle with shield and lower feather sections
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if an iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the GL lettering upright and smooth the fabric beneath the complete eagle and shield.
- Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
- Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, covering the centre, wings and all outer edges as instructed.
- Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.
Sew-On Option
Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch around the black outer border, carefully following the wing tips and lower feather contours. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the wing tips from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
