Create a wide focal point for your patch arrangement with this Goldwing GL embroidered big patch. A gold-tone eagle spreads its long wings above matching Goldwing lettering, while black outlines define the feather sections and central GL detail.

Measuring 350 × 80 mm, this elongated design suits a spacious area on a compatible jacket, vest or fabric bag. The black contoured border follows the wing tips and separate lettering base, giving the gold-tone motif a strong silhouette.

  • Design: Eagle with outstretched wings, central GL detail and Goldwing lettering
  • Patch color: Gold & black
  • Size: 350 × 80 mm
  • Format: Wide big patch / back patch
  • Details: Gold-tone embroidered motif with black feather outlines and border
  • Gold-tone describes the thread colour, not precious-metal content
  • Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits it.
  2. Lay the garment flat on a firm heat-resistant surface. Ensure the complete wing span fits the chosen area without crossing unsuitable seams, fasteners or pockets. Align the lettering and smooth the fabric beneath both wing tips.
  3. Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and use only the temperature permitted by both the garment and backing instructions.
  4. Follow the backing's specified pressing time, temperature and pressure. Work across the wide design as directed, covering the centre, wing tips and lettering base. Do not slide the iron.
  5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions for additional pressing if needed. Reinforce with stitching where appropriate, particularly along the wing tips and long outer edges.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Secure the patch in position and stitch around the contoured outer border, following both wings and the lettering base. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment on this wide patch.

Care

Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the long wing tips and edges from snagging. Never iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
