Iron-On & Sewing Instructions

Check the patch backing before applying heat. Only iron on if a heat-activated adhesive backing is present and the garment care label allows ironing. If the backing or fabric suitability is uncertain, sew the patch on instead.

1. Place the garment on a firm, heat-resistant surface and position the patch.
2. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Do not place the iron directly on the embroidery.
3. Use a dry iron with steam switched off. Follow the backing supplier's temperature and pressing-time instructions, without exceeding the garment's permitted ironing temperature.
4. Allow the patch and fabric to cool completely before checking the bond.
5. For a more secure attachment, stitch around the edge, particularly on frequently washed or heavily used items.

Do not iron onto leather, coated fabrics or heat-sensitive synthetics unless their manufacturer explicitly permits it. Sewing is the safer option for unsuitable fabrics.

Care Instructions

• Follow the garment care label and any adhesive-backing instructions, using the gentler requirements.
• Wash inside out on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent, where the garment allows washing.
• Do not bleach, soak or scrub the embroidery.
• Air dry; avoid tumble drying and direct heat on the patch.
• If ironing the garment, protect the patch with a pressing cloth and avoid direct contact with the embroidery.
• Check the edges after washing and secure any lifting edges with stitching.
