BSA Motorcycles Oval Union Jack Patch

This oval embroidered BSA Motorcycles patch combines a winged wordmark with a Union Jack detail and a chequered pattern. Large silver-grey BSA lettering stands against a black background, with MOTORCYCLES stitched underneath. A layered wing extends to the left of the B.

The red, white and dark-blue flag section fills the upper part of the badge. Black and silver-grey checks sit below the lettering, while a silver-grey outer border and inset stitched oval line frame the design. The horizontal 90 × 64 mm shape brings these details together as one compact motorcycle-themed motif.

Position it on a suitable jacket, vest or fabric bag as the main accent, or leave space around its curved edge when combining it with other patches.

  • Shape: Horizontal oval

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and the adhesive backing instructions before applying heat. Do not iron heat-sensitive, coated or non-ironable fabrics.
  2. Place the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the patch with the adhesive side against the fabric.
  3. Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Turn off steam and select a temperature allowed by both the fabric and backing instructions.
  4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Use the pressing time specified for the backing and never exceed the garment's heat limits.
  5. Let the patch and fabric cool completely. Check the curved edges gently; follow the backing instructions for any repeat pressing or secure the border with stitches.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suited to the garment and stitch carefully around the oval border. Avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Edge stitching can also reinforce an iron-on attachment where appropriate. Choose sewing rather than ironing for materials that cannot tolerate heat.

Care

Follow the garment and patch care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and use a pressing cloth if ironing is permitted. This is a decorative patch, not protective riding equipment; check manufacturer guidance before altering technical motorcycle clothing.
