Auto Union DKW Green White Shield Logo Patch

This embroidered patch combines the AUTO UNION wordmark and four interlocking rings with a pointed DKW shield. The silver-white rings form a broad, rounded top, crossed by a banner with black AUTO UNION lettering. Below, white DKW lettering stands against a green center that narrows toward the bottom point.

White side panels frame the green shield, while silver-white stitching outlines the rings, stepped shoulders and pointed base. The tall, contoured silhouette gives the emblem a distinctive look without a rectangular background surrounding it.

The rings and AUTO UNION banner distinguish this version from the simpler green-and-white DKW shield patch. Its contrasting lettering and embroidered outlines bring a vintage automotive accent to a denim jacket, vest or fabric bag. Position it on a chest panel, sleeve or bag pocket with enough flat space for the full design.

How to Apply

  1. Choose a flat area large enough for the entire patch. Check the fabric care label and backing instructions before applying heat.
  2. For leather, coated fabrics or other heat-sensitive materials, sew the patch on rather than ironing it.
  3. Position the patch and cover it with a thin protective cloth.
  4. Press according to the backing instructions, staying within the fabric's temperature limit and covering the full patch area.
  5. Allow to cool before checking the edges, shoulders and pointed base. Sew around the border for extra security.
