This AC/DC patch features a central shield with band lettering, lightning bolt and Since 1973 text. White striped wings extend from a circular border bearing ROCK & ROLL above and WILL NEVER DIE below. The white embroidery contrasts with the black background and contoured border.
Measuring 102 × 70 mm, this embroidered hard rock badge adds a winged emblem to a suitable jacket, vest, backpack or fabric bag. Since 1973 is part of the design, not the patch's manufacturing date.
- Design: AC/DC winged shield with Rock & Roll Will Never Die lettering
- Patch color: Black & white
- Size: 102 × 70 mm
- Shape: Circular centre with horizontal wings
- Details: Shield outline, lightning bolt, Since 1973 text and striped wings
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if heat-activated adhesive backing is present and the garment permits ironing
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat application. Avoid leather, coated and heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits ironing.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the lettering upright and smooth the fabric underneath.
- Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
- Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Cover the complete design, including both wings, without sliding the iron.
- Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce with stitching where suitable.
Sew-On Option
Secure the patch flat and stitch around its contoured border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Follow the wing tips carefully. Keep fabric smooth and avoid pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect edges from snagging. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective equipment.
