Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat application. Avoid leather, coated and heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits ironing.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Check that the full back patch fits the chosen area and smooth the fabric underneath.
3. Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
4. Follow the backing instructions for time, pressure and section-by-section application across this large design. Cover the complete outline without sliding the iron or overheating previously pressed areas.
5. Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required. Stitching around the outline can reinforce attachment, especially on a large patch.

Sew-On Option

Secure the back patch flat and stitch around its contoured border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Work carefully around the angular lettering, wheels and projecting barrel. Keep the fabric smooth and avoid pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing.

Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect projecting edges from snagging. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective equipment.
