This Yamaha big back patch combines bold red YAMAHA lettering with a red circular emblem containing white tuning forks and a white inner ring. The black rectangular background gives the wide embroidered logo strong contrast.
Measuring 270 × 85 mm, this large horizontal patch creates a prominent motorcycle detail on a suitable jacket, vest or roomy fabric bag. Check that the complete strip fits flat on the intended panel before attaching it.
- Design: Yamaha wordmark and circular tuning fork emblem
- Patch color: Red, white & black
- Size: 270 × 85 mm
- Shape: Wide horizontal rectangle
- Details: Red lettering, white tuning forks and red circular logo on black
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if heat-activated adhesive backing is present and the garment permits ironing
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat application. Avoid leather, coated and heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits ironing.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the lettering upright and ensure the full strip lies flat without crossing seams.
- Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
- Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Work across the large strip as directed for the backing, covering both ends evenly without sliding the iron.
- Allow it to cool completely before gently checking the full perimeter. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required. Stitching around the border can reinforce this large patch.
Sew-On Option
Secure the patch flat and stitch around its rectangular border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Keep the fabric smooth, check both long edges and avoid pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the edges from snagging. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the manufacturer before modifying technical riding clothing.
