This round Norton embroidered patch features red logo script on a white background, framed by a black laurel wreath and a red stitched edge. A Union Jack and a black-and-white checkered flag cross above the lettering.
Measuring 75 mm in diameter, the badge combines racing-inspired details with the embroidered wording “British Machines since 1898”. Add it to a suitable jacket, biker vest, backpack or fabric bag as a circular focal point in your patch arrangement.
- Design: Norton script with crossed flags and laurel wreath
- Patch color: White, red, black & blue
- Size: 75 mm diameter
- Shape: Round
- Details: Union Jack, checkered flag, black laurel leaves and red border
- Motif text: British Machines since 1898
- The date is part of the design, not the manufacturing date of this patch
- The British wording and flag are motif elements, not a statement of manufacturing origin
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if heat-activated adhesive is present and the fabric permits ironing. Avoid heat-sensitive, coated and leather surfaces unless their manufacturer permits heat application.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the lettering upright and smooth the fabric beneath the circle.
- Cover with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and use the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
- Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Treat the centre and full circular edge without sliding the iron.
- Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce with stitching where suitable.
Sew-On Option
Secure the patch in position and stitch around its circular outer border using a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the edges from snagging. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
