Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if the patch has heat-activated adhesive and the fabric permits ironing. Do not apply heat to leather, coated or heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer allows it.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the patch with its lettering upright and smooth the fabric beneath both wings.
3. Cover with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and use the temperature specified by the backing instructions within the garment's permitted heat range.
4. Apply the pressing time and pressure specified for the backing. Treat the full design, including the wing tips and lettering panel, without sliding the iron.
5. Allow it to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for further pressing if necessary, or reinforce with stitches where suitable.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread appropriate for the garment. Secure the patch in position, then stitch around its outer contour, following both wings and the lower lettering panel. Keep the fabric flat and avoid stitching through pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing.

Care

Follow the garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect wing tips from snagging. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face.
