This Michelin Man on Vespa embroidered patch depicts grey-white Bibendum seated on a red Vespa with both hands at the handlebar. Black outlines define the segmented figure and red bodywork, while blue handlebar details and a yellow headlight add contrasting accents.
Measuring 98 × 98 mm, the shaped badge adds a playful Vespa detail to a suitable jacket, vest, backpack or fabric bag. Its contoured border follows the rider, bodywork and wheels without a rectangular background panel.
- Design: Michelin Man, also known as Bibendum, riding a red Vespa
- Patch color: Grey-white, red, black, blue & yellow
- Size: 98 × 98 mm
- Shape: Contoured rider and scooter silhouette
- Details: Segmented character, red bodywork, blue handlebars, yellow headlight and black border
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if heat-activated adhesive backing is present and the garment permits ironing
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat application. Avoid leather, coated and heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits ironing.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the rider upright and smooth the fabric underneath.
- Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
- Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Cover the whole silhouette, including both wheels and the rider's head, without sliding the iron.
- Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce with stitching where suitable.
Sew-On Option
Secure the badge in position and stitch around its contoured black border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Follow the wheels and rider carefully, keeping the fabric flat and avoiding pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect projecting edges from snagging. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the manufacturer before modifying technical riding clothing.
