Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment's care label and adhesive backing instructions. Choose sewing for heat-sensitive, coated or non-ironable fabrics.
2. Lay the garment on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Smooth the fabric and position the patch with its adhesive side facing down.
3. Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and choose a temperature permitted by both the garment and backing instructions.
4. Press firmly without sliding the iron. Follow the pressing time specified for the backing and never exceed the garment's heat limits.
5. Let the patch and fabric cool completely. Gently check all edges and corners. If attachment is incomplete, follow the backing instructions for another press or secure the border with stitches.

Sew-On Option

Stitch around the rectangular outer border using thread suitable for your garment. Additional stitching can reinforce an iron-on attachment on clothing that is washed frequently.
