Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Use this method only with an iron-on adhesive backing and heat-compatible fabric. Avoid coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer expressly permits ironing.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Check the full 230 × 220 mm placement and smooth both wings and lower ribbons flat.
3. Cover the entire design with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both garment and backing instructions.
4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature. Work across the large design as directed, covering the centre, wing tips and scrollwork without exceeding garment heat limits.
5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the outline. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the edges with stitches.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment and stitch around the contoured black border. Secure the raised wing tips and lower curled ribbons carefully while keeping the fabric flat. Avoid sewing through unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce an adhesive attachment where appropriate.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the projecting edges from snagging.
