Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Use this method only with an iron-on adhesive backing and heat-compatible fabric. Avoid coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer expressly permits ironing.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Align the central shield upright and smooth both extended wings flat.
3. Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both garment and backing instructions.
4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, covering the central shield and both wing tips without exceeding garment heat limits.
5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the outline. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the edges with stitches.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment and stitch around the contoured outer edge. Secure the narrow wing tips carefully while keeping the fabric flat. Avoid sewing through unwanted pocket or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce an adhesive attachment where appropriate.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the wing tips from snagging.
