Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Use this method only with an iron-on adhesive backing and heat-compatible fabric. Avoid heat-sensitive or coated materials unless their manufacturer expressly permits ironing.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the skull at the bottom and smooth both raised wing tips flat.
3. Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Turn off steam and use only the temperature permitted by both the garment and backing instructions.
4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature, covering the lettering, skull and wing tips without exceeding garment heat limits.
5. Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the outline. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the edges with stitches.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment and stitch around the black outer contour. Secure the extended wing tips carefully while keeping the fabric flat. Avoid sewing through unwanted pocket or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce an adhesive attachment where appropriate.
