Frame your patch arrangement with this Harley-Davidson gold-flame embroidered big patch. White Harley-Davidson lettering follows a broad black arch above sweeping gold-yellow flames. A smaller red-and-black Motor Harley-Davidson Cycles shield completes the lower centre.
Measuring 230 × 195 mm, the contoured design makes a distinctive feature on the back of a suitable jacket or vest. Open spaces between the lettering, flames and shield allow the garment fabric beneath to remain visible.
- Design: Arched Harley-Davidson lettering with gold-yellow flames and lower shield
- Patch color: Gold-yellow, black, white & red
- Size: 230 × 195 mm
- Details: White upper lettering, gold-yellow flames with warm outlines, red-black shield with pale edging
- Shape: Open-centred flame frame with arched lettering and lower shield
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if an iron-on adhesive backing is present and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the lettering at the top and smooth the fabric beneath the arch, flames and shield.
- Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
- Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature. Work across the shaped design in sections as instructed, treating the lettering, flame tips and lower shield without exceeding garment heat limits.
- Allow everything to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.
Sew-On Option
Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch carefully around the outer and inner contours of the lettering arch, flame sections and lower shield. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment along the shaped design.
Care
Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the narrow flame tips from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
