Create a striking anniversary-themed focal point with this Harley-Davidson embroidered big patch. Wide grey wings extend from a red-and-black Motor Harley-Davidson Cycles shield, with white lettering and fine light outlines contrasting against the black background.

The dates 1903 and 2003 appear across the upper wing bars, while the number 100 sits in the curved lower section. Measuring 260 × 102 mm, this broad design makes a prominent addition to the back of a suitable jacket, vest or fabric bag.

  • Design: Winged shield with Harley-Davidson 100th anniversary motif
  • Patch color: Grey, black, red & white
  • Size: 260 × 102 mm
  • Lettering: Motor Harley-Davidson Cycles, 1903, 2003 and 100
  • Details: Grey feather sections, red shield outlines, white lettering and light double-outline border
  • Shape: Wide contoured wings with central shield and curved lower edge
  • Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if an adhesive backing is present and the garment permits heat application

Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

  1. Check the garment care label and patch backing instructions. Proceed only if the patch has an iron-on adhesive backing and the fabric is heat-compatible. Do not iron leather, coated or heat-sensitive materials unless their manufacturer permits it.
  2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the shield upright and smooth the fabric beneath the entire wide design.
  3. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select only the temperature permitted by both the garment label and backing instructions.
  4. Apply firm, even pressure without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and temperature. Work across the shield, wing sections and lower edge as instructed, ensuring the full design receives the required treatment without exceeding garment heat limits.
  5. Allow the patch and fabric to cool completely before gently checking the edges. Follow backing instructions for any additional pressing, or reinforce the outline with stitching where appropriate.

Sew-On Option

Use a needle and thread suitable for the garment. Stitch around the outer border, following the wing tips, raised shield and curved lower section. Keep the fabric flat and avoid catching unwanted pockets or lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment, particularly along the wide wing edges.

Care

Follow garment and patch backing care instructions. Check the attachment before washing, avoid scrubbing the embroidery and protect the shaped edges from snagging. Never place a hot iron directly on the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the garment manufacturer before modifying technical motorcycle clothing.
