Iron-On & Sewing Instructions

Check the backing before applying heat. Iron-on application is only suitable if the patch has a heat-activated adhesive backing and the garment care label permits ironing. The backing cannot be confirmed from the front photo. If uncertain, sew the patch on instead.

1. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface and position the patch.
2. Cover the patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth to protect the embroidery.
3. Use a dry iron without steam. Follow the adhesive supplier's temperature and pressing-time instructions, never exceeding the garment's permitted ironing temperature.
4. Let the patch and fabric cool completely before checking the bond.
5. For secure attachment, especially with this large design, stitch around the border.

Avoid ironing onto leather, coated fabrics or heat-sensitive synthetics unless explicitly permitted by the fabric manufacturer. Sewing is the safer alternative for fabrics unsuitable for heat.

Care Instructions

• Follow the garment care label and any backing instructions, choosing the gentler requirements.
• Where washing is permitted, wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent.
• Do not bleach, soak or scrub the embroidery.
• Air dry and avoid tumble drying or direct heat.
• Protect the patch with a pressing cloth when ironing the garment; do not iron directly on the embroidery.
• Check the edges after washing and secure lifting edges with stitches.
