Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions

1. Check the garment care label and the adhesive backing instructions. Do not iron heat-sensitive, coated or non-ironable materials.
2. Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Smooth the fabric and position the patch adhesive-side down.
3. Cover the entire patch with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Turn off steam and select a temperature permitted by both the fabric and backing instructions.
4. Press firmly without sliding the iron. Follow the backing's specified pressing time and never exceed the garment's heat limits.
5. Allow the patch and fabric to cool completely. Gently check the wing tip, letter ends and border. If attachment is incomplete, follow the backing instructions for another press or secure the edge with suitable stitches.

Sew-On Option

Stitch around the shaped outer edge with thread suitable for the garment. Follow the wing tip and letter contours carefully, checking the inside so pockets or unwanted lining layers are not caught. Sewing can also reinforce an iron-on attachment where appropriate.
