This Brighton Mod Mecca 1964 embroidered patch combines a blue, white and red target with a dark blue horizontal banner. White BRIGHTON lettering follows the upper curve, MOD MECCA runs across the centre and 1964 appears below. The stitched border follows the circular target and the rounded ends of the banner.
Measuring 75 × 60 mm, this compact Mod-culture badge adds a colourful detail to a suitable jacket, vest, backpack or fabric bag. Pair the target motif with scooter patches or use it as a standalone accent. The embroidered date is part of the design, not a manufacturing date.
- Design: Brighton Mod Mecca 1964 target and banner
- Patch color: Blue, navy, white & red
- Size: 75 × 60 mm
- Shape: Round target with projecting rounded banner
- Details: White lettering, red centre and dark blue outlines
- Application: Sew onto suitable fabric; iron on only if heat-activated adhesive backing is present and the garment permits ironing
Step-by-Step Iron-On Instructions
- Check the backing instructions and garment care label. Proceed only if adhesive backing is present and the fabric permits heat application. Avoid leather, coated and heat-sensitive fabrics unless their manufacturer permits ironing.
- Lay the garment flat on a firm, heat-resistant surface. Position the lettering upright and smooth the fabric underneath.
- Cover the embroidery with a thin cotton pressing cloth. Switch off steam and select the temperature specified for the backing within the garment's permitted heat range.
- Apply the time and pressure specified by the backing instructions. Cover the whole badge, including the banner ends, without sliding the iron.
- Allow it to cool completely before gently checking attachment. Follow backing instructions if further pressing is required, or reinforce with stitching where suitable.
Sew-On Option
Secure the badge flat and stitch around its shaped border using a needle and thread suitable for your garment. Follow the curved target and rounded banner ends carefully. Avoid catching pockets or unwanted lining layers. Sewing is an alternative for fabrics unsuitable for ironing and can reinforce adhesive attachment.
Care
Follow garment and backing care instructions. Check attachment before washing and avoid scrubbing the embroidery. Do not iron directly onto the embroidered face. This decorative patch is not protective riding equipment. Consult the manufacturer before modifying technical riding clothing.
