Formed in 2003 in Byron Bay, Australia, and named after the street where they first rehearsed, Parkway Drive grew from the local surf-town hardcore scene into world-class festival headliners with explosive breakdowns, huge pyro-filled live shows and anthems from albums like Horizons, Deep Blue, Ire, Reverence and Darker Still, fronted by vocalist Winston McCall. The patch is a large die-cut shield\/banner format with a clean white merrowed outer border. The background is filled with bold dark black embroidery. The design: Header: a small coffin with an inverted cross icon in the upper left corner next to \"EST. 2003\" in bold white capitals, framed by a flowing white wave line. Main logo: huge stacked \"PARK\" and \"WAY\" in tall, slim white art-deco style capitals fill the centre, followed by \"Drive\" in a large flowing white script that swings out beyond the edge of the patch. Bottom pennant: an arrow-shaped banner with \"BYRON BAY\" in white capitals, surrounded by the lyric \"We're born with nothing and we die alone\" in small white lettering. The embroidery features a raised 3D effect for extra depth and texture.
